PROMOTION POLICY

  1. Overall performance is to be "decided on the basis of achievement in the Scholastic" as well as in the Co-Scholastic areas.
  2. Minimum qualifying grade is D' in all the five subjects in scholastic domain 1A.
  3. The qualifying grade in 1B section of scholastic domain is 'B'
  4. For weightage to Co-Scholastic areas, grades are to be converted into grade points according to given scale.
  5. If the grade point range is 34-42 "student gets the benefit of upscaling of grade in two subjects."
  6. If the grade point range is 19-33 the student gets the benefit of upscaling of grade to next higher grade in one subject.
  7. Asterisk or Star beside the grade reflects an upscaled grade.
  8. CGPA- Cumulative Grade Point Average

WEIGHTAGE OF ATTENDANCE : 5% (Marks) in each term as per following scale

From 75 to 80%
1 Mark
From 80 to 85%
2 Marks
From 85 to 90%
3 Marks
From 90 to 95%
4 Marks
From 95 to 100%
5 Marks
First Term
FA1 (10%) + FA2 (10%) + SA1 (20%)
Second Term
FA3 (10%) + FA4 (10%) + SA2 (35%) + Attendance (5%)
TOTAL = (FA 1+2+SA1) = 40%
TOTAL = (FA 3+4+SA2+Att.) = 60%
